Can I install 184 pin DDR 400 (PC3200) strike surrounded by a motherboard that supports 184 pin DDR 333/266 (PC2700/2100)?

I would resembling to upgrade my motherboard on an old Intel 2.4mhz socket 478 type and I own a gig of 184 pin DDR 400 PC3200 hit that I would like to use, but the motherboard I am looking at supports DDR333 standard. Can I use my faster bump in this motherboard? I am not sure.

You should be capable of, the new RAM will a short time ago run at a slower speed to match whats onboard.
I consider you can but if you are going to use more than 1 stick of ram they HAVE to meeting
