Can i use ddr2 667mhz memory within a mb that simply allows 533mhz???

Yes. It will purely run at the lower speed, which is OK. ~

You can always use faster memory, merely never use slower.
You can use it, I did for my Acer Laptop. It works fine.
you can use it, but it only runs at 533 mhz.
Yes you can use it and it will lone run @ 533mhz and then you could use DDR2 3200 (400mhz ) and it would just run @ 400mhz speed the computer would not try to run it @ 533mhz. Say you had 1gb of DDR2 3200 (400mhz) and 1gb of DDR2 5400 (667mhz) the both memories would run @ 400mhz lone...Just make sure your motherboard supports (5400 667mhz).Go to the mobo factory owner website and look up the specs. You can go to www.cpuid.com and it capture PC Wizard and it will tell you adjectives the specs and model #s of your components in your computer...Thanks and Good Luck
