Can you replace the processor of a notebook short have to replace anything else or losing any stuff rotten the laptop?

can you put contained by a faster cpu without injurious or having to re-do anything else on a notebook?

I have a hp pavilion near media center edition next to a new motherboard, personal medium drive, 200 gb hd and a processor a little over 2 ghz and 2 gigs of memory. could I put surrounded by a larger processor without have to get into greatly of other stuff?

I say your computer is pretty devout but if you must have a CPU upgrade you obligation to find a CPU that is compatible next to your motherboard. (AKA same socket etc..)



The CPU will be under the green box (if you own a DELL) and there will be a heatsink over it (aluminum or copper plates contained by a row).



But you need to do your research first on what your computer is compatible next to and everything. Installing a new motherboard is going to be abit harder than installing a CPU but I articulate installing a whole trial motherboard will end of costing more even so you'll have more benefits.

yes. This is possible but the upgraded processor have to have like peas in a pod socket type of the motherboard. If the processor don't have like socket, you have to replace the motherboard too which within effect will have to reinstall adjectives drivers
cpu can be removable depening on the motherboard, some are built in and can not be changed unless you translate the motherboard, go to motherboard website and read its specs
