I only just bought an Apple iMac G4 1.0GHz, 768MB of RAM. It only have a 40GB hard drive though. I enjoy a 160GB hard drive, and an external overnight case with USB. I want to verbs the whole operating system, programs, and everything to the exotic hard drive, and put the 160GB easier said than done drive into the iMac. How do I do that? will the usual 3.5 (desktop computer size) hard drive fit contained by the iMac? or does it need a differant size rock-hard drive?
Thanks!
Apple iMac firm drive switch?
To transfer the background, use Bombich CopyCloner: http://www.bombich.com/software/ccc.html...
Check with the iMac discussion board on the Apple website to see if that rock-hard drive will work.
I would look for a cloning program that is compatible next to Mac. There is a program called XXClone, which you can download at xxclone.com. I don't devise this is compatible with Mac, but this is what you're looking for.

Brandon
